Rob Rave
Rob Rave is an executive coach working with high-performing individuals who are committed to making changes in their leadership abilities. He helps them develop their ‘conversations’ in order to drive better performance and become more influential.
He is currently working with over 30 partners and executive directors in a global professional service firm.
A range of transition coaching assignments includes creating high-performing teams, having better and more courageous leadership conversations, driving performance by building an individual’s internal and external brand and how to communicate with more impact and gravitas.
Other examples of recent assignments include:
- Working with the Head of Investment in a top insurance company – whose new role involves the management of 40 individuals in France, UK and Japan – to establish himself early on as a credible leader and influencer in the business.
- Working with a new lawyer – who is a partner in professional services – to handle both a very different culture and deal with a stressful senior partner and the ‘complex dynamics’ involved.
- Working with a director in an advisory service line to develop his emotional intelligence, particularly in developing internal and external relationships and letting go of ‘unconscious patterned behaviours’.
- Supporting an individual turn tough feedback into a development opportunity to create better engagement and impact with senior leaders.
- Helping a new partner responsible for a team of 50 to become an expert in developing teams and having brief and impactful 1-to-1 conversations.
Background
Following a successful career as a professional tennis coach, Rob was trained in the ‘Inner Game’ methodology as well as approaches in performance coaching and behavioural coaching.
Over the past eight years, Rob has worked with high-performers in leading organisations, including Grant Thornton, EY, CPBE Private Equity, Vision Capital, Vodafone, Thermo Fisher, Wickes, Travis Perkins and Axa Insurance.
Specialist expertise
Rob is a Professionally Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coach Federation (ICF) and a Master Practitioner NLP. He is accredited as a solution focused coach (SFCT) – and is only one of 25 individuals worldwide whose solution-focused work has been peer reviewed and approved.
